Citilink installs bicycle repair system
(May 17, 2013) – Just in time for Bike to Work Day & Bike Month Citilink has installed a bicycle repair station
at the Citilink Central Station.
The FIXIT, manufactured by the Dero Bike Rack Company, is a bike repair stand with an attached air pump and hand tools; including, screwdrivers, wrenches and a tire lever. The FIXIT station provides an opportunity for a cyclist to make minor repairs and adjustments on the road rather than having to carry tools or walk an ailing bicycle home.
“A key component of the City of Fort Wayne’s Active Transportation Initiative and Bus Fort Wayne Plan is preparing for multi-modal mobility to better serve our community.
Citilink consulted with Bike Fort Wayne team members and we all thought this would be a nice amenity for our new Central Station,” said Betsy Kachmar, Citilink Assistant General Manager.
