Shooting Investigation

Date/Time of Incident: 03-30-2013 1:34 PM
Location of Incident: 3300 South Hanna
Victim: Marcus Q. Bibbs, age 19, Fort Wayne

(March 30, 2013) – On Saturday March 30,2013 at approximately 1:34 PM officers were responding to the 800 block of Drexel in reference to a problem unknown. While officers were responding to the scene, additional calls came into 911 dispatch advising that a male had been shot in the 3300 block of South Hanna. As paramedics and officers arrived on the scene, they located a male adult victim suffering from apparant gunshot wounds. The victim was located in the 3300 block of South Hanna. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital in critical condition.

Investigators believe that the victim was walking on the sidewalk in the 3300 block of Hanna when the suspect who was described as a male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt ran from between houses and began shooting at the victim. The suspect ran from the scene in an unknown direction of travel.

This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
