(March 26, 2013) — Parkview Physicians Group leaders today held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Parkview Medical Plaza at 8911 Liberty Mills Road in southwest Fort Wayne. The nearly 14,000 sq. ft. facility will be home to services including family medicine and internal medicine/pediatrics.

“We are pleased to expand so many healthcare services to the southwest community of Fort Wayne,” said Jill Ostrem, COO, Parkview Physicians Group. “The addition of the Parkview Medical Plaza complements all of the services Parkview currently provides to this community, including our primary care location on Illinois Road and our specialty services at Inverness Medical Park.”

The site also will host one of five Parkview Physicians Group – FirstCare Walk-In Clinics along with a lab and X-ray facilities. The FirstCare Walk-In Clinic provides patients with same-day access to healthcare services from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Parkview Medical Plaza Family Medicine services will be provided by Dr. Melissa Walther, a board-certified family practice physician. Dr. Adam Will, board-certified internal medicine physician, will be providing patients internal medicine and pediatric services.

“This is another example of Parkview’s commitment to helping improve the health of the communities we serve,” added Jim Hauguel, senior vice president, service line leader-primary care. “We recognize the growing needs for healthcare services in our communities and this new facility will help meet that demand.”

The Parkview Medical Plaza will open and begin seeing patients on Wednesday, March 27.
