A STRONG LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CURRENTLY TAKING SHAPE ACROSS THE TEXAS TODAY WILL MOVE NORTHEAST INTO THE OHIO VALLEY ON SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT AND INTENSIFY GREATLY. SNOW…INITIALLY LIGHT…WILL OVERSPREAD THE AREA FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST SUNDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE THROUGH LATE SUNDAY NIGHT BEFORE DIMINISHING EARLY MONDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED SUNDAY EVENING INTO SUNDAY NIGHT. SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS IN EXCESS OF 6 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHERN INDIANA AND NORTHWEST OHIO. HOWEVER…THIS LATE SEASON STORM IS STILL IN EARLY DEVELOPMENT…AND SOME UNCERTAINTY REMAINS AS TO THE EXACT TRACK AND LOCATION OF THE HEAVIEST BAND OF SNOW. AT PRESENT THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS PROJECTED TO CUT A SWATH THROUGH CENTRAL INDIANA. LOCATIONS ALONG AND SOUTH OF A LINE FROM MONTICELLO TO WABASH TO DECATUR…TO LIMA…HAVE THE GREATEST LIKELIHOOD TO RECEIVE THE MOST SNOW WITH UPWARDS OF 9 INCHES OF HEAVY…WET SNOWFALL POSSIBLE.
