Zoo Summer Job Fair March 9th

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo will host a Summer Job Fair on Saturday, March 9 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pavilion #1 in Franke Park.

The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and Service Systems Associates, the zoo’s food and retail partner, will accept applications for about 75 seasonal positions to serve more than 500,000 annual zoo guests.

Job openings include guest service positions at the food concessions, gift shops, admission gate, rides, and operations support. All openings are temporary, seasonal positions, ranging from 15 to 40 hours per week during the zoo season (mid-April through mid-October). For more information, visit kidszoo.org.

Applicants may download applications in advance at https://kidszoo.org/about-the-zoo/employment-opportunities/ and bring them to the Job Fair. Interviews will be held during the Job Fair as time and capacity allow.

 

About the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo is northeast Indiana’s largest tourist attraction, hosting more than 500,000 guests annually. The zoo was voted Indiana’s “#1 Gotta-Do Summer Attraction” in 2012 and is consistently named one of the nation’s Top Ten Zoos for Kids by national media outlets.

As a self-supporting facility, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo receives no tax dollars for operations. The zoo’s operations are funded by earned revenue and donations.

The zoo opens for the 2013 season on April 20, 2013. Admission is $13.50 for adults; $10.50 for seniors age 60+; and $8.50 for children ages 2-14. Babies age 1 and under and Zoo Society Members are admitted free.
