McDonald’s® High School Basketball Players of the Month – January
(February 19, 2013) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants and McDonald’s have partnered to recognize two outstanding high school basketball players in the Fort Wayne community. In January, McDonald’s and the Mad Ants selected VJ Beachem and Courtney Smith as the McDonald’s High School Players of the Month. Both players will be recognized at an upcoming Mad Ants home game.
VJ Beachem, a senior at New Haven High School, helped lead the Bulldogs to a 7-1 record in the month of January. VJ has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Notre Dame for the 2013-14 season.
Courtney Smith, junior at Concordia Lutheran High School is a key player for the Cadets team. Courtney helped the Cadets win the Class 3A state title last season, along with taking them to the Regional Title game this season.
