Death Investigation
Date / Time: February 11, 2013 / 2:02 a.m.
Location: Smith Street & Emily Street
Victim: Male, age 18
On Monday, February 11, 2013 at approximately 2:02 a.m., the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the area of Smith Street & Emily Street on a report of an unresponsive person found lying in the grassy area near this intersection. The victim, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. The exact cause and manner of death will be determined by the Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the identity of the victim will be released pending family notification.
The incident remains under investigation with the City of Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
