A strong low pressure system over Tennessee this morning will move northeast to the Middle Atlantic region late tonight. Snow will overspread northern Indiana and northwest Ohio this morning…and overspread south central lower Michigan by late this morning. The snow will be heavy at times on Wednesday…especiall along and southeast of the route 24 corridor…before quickly diminishing in intensity Wednesday night. In addition…northeast winds will increase to 25 mph with gusts between 30 and 35 mph…resulting in areas of blowing and drifting snow.

Greatly deteriorating driving conditions will occur along primary as well as secondary roads. Motorists on interstates…69…75 and the Ohio Turnpike will encounter treacherous conditions and slow travel. Visibilities will be greatly reduced at times…Use caution if traveling.

* snow will overspread the area this morning. The snow will become heavy at times by midday. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 9 inches are expected by late tonight. The heaviest snowfall amounts will be along and south of Hartford City Indiana to Lima Ohio line. Snowfall rates between 1 and 1.5 inches per hour may occur. In addition…northeast winds will increase to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 35 mph.
