Ft. Wayne Farmers Market Expands Hours for Holiday Shopping
December 1st Set For Next Market Day at Parkview Field

Shoppers and market enthusiasts continued to flock to Ft. Wayne’s Farmers Market (FWFM), a new winter market, on November 3, 2012. Close to 1,000 people visited the market, shopped and sampled products. “We remain awed and amazed with the response of Fort Wayne shoppers to the incredible assembly of high quality vendors that have been brought together,” said Market Coordinator Leigh Rowan. “We are working to make each market day an enjoyable and productive experience for our vendors and our customers.”

The December 1st market will expand its hours to 1 pm to accommodate holiday shoppers. Young’s Greenhouse will be offering tips on how to make fresh wreaths to decorate your home or office for the holidays. Rumor has it that Santa Claus will be at the market checking on all of the girls and boys as his yearly ride quickly approaches. So be sure to stop in and visit with St. Nick!

December’s market will again have 40 vendors. Many are returning and some new vendors to the FWFM have an already recognizable Fort Wayne presence and reputation. Olive Twist, Margy Hooker’s Tanglewood Farms, Get Fresh Farms (a fresh produce supplier for JK O’Donnell’s), Henna Muse, North Coast Organics, Serendipity Sweets, Flora and Fauna and From the Heartland join FWFM and round out the incredible selection of foods, farm products, natural products and hand crafted items. A list of vendors is below.

FWFM, in response to many, many requests has also made arrangements for an ATM to be onsite during the market.

Gift certificates will be available for purchase in increments of either $1 or $5. $1 certificates are for food items only and $5 certificates can be used anywhere at the market. Gift certificates are perfect for housewarmings, anniversaries, birthdays, thank you gifts or stocking stuffers.
