Kroger Supports Great Turkey Escape Blood Drive
(November 19, 2012) – The Kroger Co.’s northeast Indiana stores will support the Great Turkey Escape Blood Drive again this year in collaboration with the American Red Cross. After collecting a record 250 pints of blood in 2011, the goal has been raised for 2012. Daily need in the Fort Wayne region is 500 pints of blood.
The blood drive is at three locations from Monday, November 19th thru Saturday, November 24th (closed November 22nd).
At the Fort Wayne donor center: 1212 E. California Road (across from the coliseum)
Monday & Tuesday 11 AM – 5 PM
Wednesday Noon – 6 PM
Friday & Saturday 8 AM – 2 PM
At the Lutheran donor center: 7900 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Suite 107

At the Goshen donor center: 1123 S. Indiana Avenue, Goshen

Those who donate blood during the blood drive will be entered to win a $50 Kroger gift card and a Thanksgiving turkey each day of the blood drive. In addition, those who donate blood or platelets between November 19th and November 30th will automatically be entered to win a $500 shopping spree.
Kroger has disaster relief partnerships in larger markets that include the use of Kroger stores as disaster response sites, donated product and sharing of subject matter experts. Kroger also serves as a fund-raising partner for the Red Cross in response to natural disasters. Most recently, that included collecting funds for Hurricane Sandy relief. Associates and customers at Central Division’s Indiana stores donated nearly $50,000 to that effort.
