USF physician assistant grads post third consecutive 100 percent exam pass rate
(October 2, 2012) – One hundred percent of the University of Saint Francis physician assistant class of 2012 have passed certification exams on the first try, the third consecutive year for the achievement and the fourth in the past five years.
Twenty-three USF Department of Physician Assistant Studies graduates passed the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE), given by the National Commission on the Certification (NCCPA), on the first attempt.
Historically, all USF physician assistant program graduates have passed the PANCE, and over 97 percent of them on the first attempt.
“Thank you to our newest certified physician assistants for all of their hard work,” said Dawn LaBarbera, PhD, PA-C, DFAAPA, associate professor and chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. “A special thanks to the Physician Assistant Department for their dedication to the students, and to the rest of the USF faculty and staff, who make our students’ dreams realities.”
