On Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 at approximately 23:20 hrs the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to 4225 Bowser Ave reference a structure fire. Upon their arrival they were able to contain the fire to the garage. There were no injuries associated with the fire. After the fire was extinguished fire investigators observed evidence that a meth lab may have started the fire. They then requested the assistance of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Meth Suppression Team. Upon our arrival we observed remnants of chemical precursors and molten plastic vessels associated with the manufacture of Methamphetamine.

We conducted a follow up investigation with one of the residents, who was not present during the fire investigation. This resident was identified as Stephen Ray Knott. During the follow up investigation we learned that Stephen Knott had purchased the chemical precursors that were used in the meth lab that resulted in the fire.
