News release from the Downtown Improvement District:

The Downtown Improvement District to extend Lunch on the Square concert series

The Downtown Improvement District is extending the Lunch on the Square concert series in downtown Fort Wayne. Due to rain-outs and great crowd response this summer, the live outdoor music performances will extend through the third Thursday in September.

The annual concert series has taken over the courtyard at One Summit Square (on the corner of Wayne and Calhoun Streets) every Thursday in June, July and August with free live music for people to enjoy outside during their lunch hour. Attendees are encouraged to pack a bag lunch or visit a downtown restaurant to purchase a boxed lunch to bring to the event.

Extended Performance Schedule:

September 6th – Pop N’ Fresh – Vintage blues
September 13th – Afro Disiacs – Reggae/Soul
September 20th – Joe Justice – Soft Rock

Lunch on the Square is sponsored by St. Joseph Hospital/Lutheran Health Network, Indiana Michigan Power, Downtown Deli, TLC Management, Jimmy John’s, and V102.9.
