PowerHouseThis year, CANI expanded its outreach to provide youth employment skills to students in nine area high schools through the JAG program. JAG’s mission is to keep young people in school through graduation and provide training to be successful in the workplace and postsecondary education.
The purpose of this effort was to expose students at risk of not graduating high school, to various career fields. CANI appreciates these businesses opening their doors to local youth and hopes to partner with them and other businesses in the future.
Juniors and seniors from high schools in Allen, Huntington and Grant counties worked 30 hours in intern positions paid through CANI. Internship sessions were June 18-29 and July 16-27.
