News release from Lutheran Hospital:

Annual NICU Reunion Graduates and Lutheran Caregivers Reconvene This Year at the “Beach”

An always festive gathering of graduates from the neonatal intensive care unit at Lutheran Hospital is once again set to take place this weekend. Children who spent time in the NICU at Lutheran and their immediate families have been invited to celebrate and reconnect with caregivers and other graduates from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Lutheran Hospital’s cafeteria and courtyard on the lower level.

Organizers of this annual party have traditionally welcomed more than 500 guests. This year’s “Beach Baby” theme features activities such as moonwalks, kiddie games, door prizes, beachy T-shirts, snacks and birthday cake.

The reunion is always a much appreciated opportunity for nurses, physicians and families to reunite and to see the progress of children who were at one time in need of the critical care available through the NICU.

Everyone is asked to use the south parking garage and enter at door 3. Guests are being routed down the medical office building elevators to the lower level and taking a long hallway to the special function rooms in the cafeteria.

The event will occur rain or shine.
