Area Citizens to Stand for Religious Freedom on August 11

What: On August 11, 2012, members of the Greater Fort Wayne community are encouraged to join together to support greater protection of religious liberty in the United States. This peaceful and prayerful rally will celebrate liberty, and educate the public regarding what can be done to stop the infringements on our Constitutionally protected rights.

Why: It is time for all Americans to stand together to protest the recent infringements on those rights protected by the First Amendment – infringements by the government that was created to safeguard those same rights! This Amendment reads, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof […].” The November elections are fast approaching. It is critical to urge all eligible people to vote for those candidates who will protect our freedoms as they are outlined in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Who: All concerned citizens are welcome to attend! Guest speakers will include:

• Congressman Marlin Stutzman – will give a briefing about efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act and the encroachment of government on religious liberty.

• Dr. Tom McGovern – will inform us of the impact of the Affordable Care Act on each of us as patients and our doctors.

• Pat Miller – will present an outline for winning at the ballot box in November.

Where: Allen County Courthouse on the Courthouse Green at Clinton and Main Streets in downtown Fort Wayne, IN 46802.

When: August 11, 2012, 10:00-11:15 AM
