USF offering second weekend of planetarium shows during Three Rivers Festival
The Edwin Clark Schouweiler Planetarium at the University of Saint Francis will offer three public shows during the final weekend of Fort Wayne’s Three Rivers Festival.
Friday, July 20:
3:30 p.m. family matinee—”Zubenelgenubi’s Magical Sky” (appropriate for pre-K thru first grade and their adult friends)
7 p.m. “Aurora” (appropriate for fifth graders through adults)
“Aurora” reveals the secrets of the northern and southern lights as an unraveling historical mystery voyage of scientific discovery. Viewers will experience the Aurora Borealis and discover the forces of nature that create the aurora.
Saturday, July 21:
3:30 p.m. family matinee—”A Solar System Adventure Tour” (appropriate for grades 2-4 and their adult friends)
Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for children under 18 and $3 for senior citizens. The maximum charge is $14 per family (two adults and dependent children).
An additional $1 discount will be given to Fort Wayne Astronomical Society members and visitors with Three Rivers Festival buttons. Purchase tickets at the door.
