News release from the City of Fort Wayne:

City Biosolids Facility resumes normal hours
Three drop-off sites also remain open for tree debris

(July 10, 2012) – The City’s Biosolids Facility has resumed its normal hours of operation this week. The facility, at 6210 Lake Avenue, just west of Maplecrest Road, is open Monday thru Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon to 6 p.m.

In the aftermath of the June 29 storm, as a convenience to residents, the facility is continuing to allow residents to dispose of tree debris free of charge, through Friday, July 13. On Saturday, July 14, the facility will return to its regular fee schedule – which is $17.00 per ton with a $1 minimum.

Our City crews will also pick up debris that is placed on the curb – but not in the streets or in alleys. Curbside pickup will take place for several weeks and is not part of regular residential garbage pick-up. For a schedule of when curbside pick up will take place in your neighborhood, go to www.cityoffortwayne.org.
