Blue Jacket to unveil new campus and community urban garden
Over nearly the past seven years, Blue Jacket, Inc. has graduated thousands of men and women from its Career Academy, a job training and career development course designed to help individuals with felony convictions earn a second chance. Blue Jacket’s mission is to provide tools and opportunities to adult ex-offenders to be productive members of society.
On Thursday, July 19th at noon, Blue Jacket will host a ribbon-cutting at its new headquarters at 2826 S. Calhoun Street. Community and business leaders will join Blue Jacket clients, board members, and the general public for the special occasion. The event will feature tours of the new campus which includes multiple classrooms, computer labs, a warehouse for business incubation, an urban garden and other new features.
