News release from the History Center:

3RF events in conjunction with History Center

July 13-21: Three Rivers and Northern Indiana Train (T.R.A.I.N.) model railroading exhibit; an HO scale, fully operational freight yard run by the T.R.A.I.N. model railroad club. Regular museum admission applies.

July 16: Dearly Departed at Fort Wayne’s historic Lindenwood Cemetery. Co-sponsored by ARCH, Lindenwood and the History Center. Tour runs from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and is free to the public.

July 17-19: Follow the Pipes self-guided tour of area pipe organs. Free admission. Co-sponsored by The History Center and the American Guild of Organists. Visit three locations each day to hear the unique sounds of each location’s historic instrument. Concerts are scheduled at the top of each hour over the course of each day’s events (e.g. if the concert time is 1-4 p.m., there will be concerts at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.) with approximately 15-30 minutes travel time between each location, depending upon the organist’s choice of music. Due to changing road closures because of the Three Rivers Festival and maintenance to Fort Wayne Streets, it is suggested that individuals determine the best route for their needs by visiting the websites for the City of Fort Wayne and the Three Rivers Festival.
