July 4th Fireworks at IPFW Are a “Go”
(June 29, 2012) – With the Allen County Commissioners’ blessing, Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will host the
annual July 4th fireworks display.According to Lisa Zerkle, Special Events manager at IPFW, “The university will continue to work with the Fort Wayne Fire Department in
order to provide a safe presentation for our guests. Special Events will be liaising with members of the fire department, who will have an increased presence on campus during the display including, but not limited to, fire trucks and on-duty fire department personnel. In
addition, IPFW grounds teams will continue to water grassy areas directly in the fallout zone of the fireworks.”All guests attending the fireworks display are strongly encouraged to not bring any personal fireworks on campus.
