Yesterday, Fort Wayne’s first woman was sworn in as Chief of the Fort Wayne Fire Department.
Biggs was sworn in by Fort Wayne City Clerk Sandy Kennedy. Mayor Tom Henry spoke at the ceremony. Biggs was flanked by Deputy Chief Eric Lahey and Fire Marshal James Murua during the swearing in. Also in attendance was Fort Wayne City Councilman Geoff Paddock (D-5th) and Fort Wayne Police Chief Rusty York.
