Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: June 26th, 2012 at 2:22 P.M.
Location of Incident: 900 East Washington Blvd
Victim: Male Adult
Details: On Tuesday, June 26th, 2012 at approximately 2:22 p.m. officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 900 block of East Washington Blvd in reference to a shooting investigation.
As Officers and Paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a male adult victim in the parking lot, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical attention to the victim before transporting him to a local hospital. Victim appeared to be shot in the face.
The victim advised officers he was shot by a male subject in the parking lot and subject ran from the scene northbound. As officers conducted their investigation they discovered a blood trail in the hallway of the victim’s apartment and on the victim’s apartment door. Investigators remain on the scene at this time interviewing neighbors and canvasing the area for any additional information.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
