Ivy Tech Community College honors top faculty

(INDIANAPOLIS, June 20, 2012) – Ivy Tech Community College has selected 14 members of its faculty to receive the annual President’s Award for Excellence in Instruction.

In a tradition that began in 1983, one faculty member from each of the College’s 14 regions is chosen to receive the President’s Award. From the 14 recipients, one is then selected to receive the Glenn W. Sample Award for Excellence in Instruction, the College’s highest honor for faculty.

The 2012 President’s Awards recipients and their campuses are:

(Fort Wayne) Northeast region: Rose L. Boneff, Director of Clinical Care Education for the Respiratory Care Program

(Sellersburg) Southern Indiana region: Pamela A. Burton, Assistant Professor of Medical Assisting

(Lafayette) Lafayette region: Bruce L. Delaplane, Assistant Professor and Program Chair of Education

(Kokomo) Kokomo region: Randall K. Gardner, Associate Professor and Program Chair of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology

(Lawrenceburg) Southeast region: Nicole D. Gonzalez, Associate Professor and Department Chair of Liberal Arts and English

(Evansville) Southwest region: Susan B. Jindrich, Professor and Program Chair of Early Childhood Education

(Elkhart) North Central region: Terry L. Johns, Associate Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Mathematics

(Richmond) Richmond region: Betty J. Klein, Assistant Professor and Program Chair of Health Care Support

(Columbus) Columbus region: Bonnie Jo Nolting, Professor and Program Chair of Office Administration

(Indianapolis) Central Indiana region: Stephanie L. Robertson, Assistant Professor and Program Chair of Fine Arts

(Terre Haute) Wabash Valley region: John F. Rosene, Assistant Professor and Program Chair of Agriculture

(Gary) Northwest region: Laura Rosillo, Associate Professor of Liberal Arts and Sciences

(Bloomington) Bloomington region: Larry G. Swafford, Professor and Chair of Radiation Therapy, and Dean of the School of Health Sciences

(Muncie and Anderson) East Central region: Kevin M. Veneskey, Assistant Department Chair, Accounting
