Shooting Investigation
Date/Time of Incident: June 23rd, 2012 at 1:34 P.M.
Location of Incident: 900 Herman Street
Victim: Male Adult
Details: On Saturday, June 23rd, 2012 at approximately 1:34 p.m. officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of the 900 block of Herman Street in reference to a shooting investigation.
As Officers and Paramedics arrived on the scene, they located a male adult victim, sitting in an idling vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics declared the male subject deceased on the scene.
Witness contacted the Police after hearing what appeared to be a gun shot(s). After witness heard the shot(s),they observed a male subejct in a vehicle on the 900 black of Herman Street bleeding. The witness also observed a male subject running eastbound from the scene. The victim’s identity will be released by the Coroner’s Office and manner of death.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Coroner’s Office, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
