News release from the City of Fort Wayne:
Clinton detour closed temporarily for MLK Bridge dedication ceremony
Please be advised the southbound Clinton Street detour route will be closed from 8:45 p.m. to approximately 10:30 p.m. today, during the City of Fort Wayne’s Lighting Ceremony and Unity Walk across the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge.
Eastbound detour vehicles that would normally turn right onto Spy Run will instead continue to Coliseum Boulevard to Washington Boulevard to Clinton Street downtown.
Fort Wayne police will assist in closing the detour route. Those with questions may call the Traffic Engineering Department at 427-1172.
The MLK Memorial Bridge event will begin at 9 p.m. at the bridge on Clinton Street, between Fourth Street and Headwaters Park.
