Mad Ants Fall to Tulsa

(March 11th, 2012) – The Tulsa 66ers used a strong fourth quarter to defeat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 81-79.

Anthony Goods scored 11 quick first period points to give them Mad Ants a 23-21 advantage after the first 12 minutes of play. The Mad Ants extended their lead to as many as 13 points but the 66ers went on a 10-2 run to close out the period and trailed by only three at the half, 43-46.

The Mad Ants maintained the lead throughout the third and held tight to a 65-58 lead going into the fourth. The 66ers fought their way back into the game by going in a 13-3 run to finish the game and steal the victory from the Mad Ants.

The 66ers were led by Marcus Lewis who scored 22 points and 18 rebounds. Dwight Buycks added 21 points and Jerome Dyson contributed 14.

Goods led the way for the Ants with 24 points. Ron Howard added 21 and Darnell Lazare finished with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
