Voter Election Information for November 8, 2011

The Allen County Election Board held will conduct municipal elections in Fort Wayne, Monroeville, New Haven and Woodburn on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Polls open at 6:00 AM and will remain open until 6:00 PM on Election Day. Registered voters must be residents within the corporate boundaries of these cities or towns to be eligible to vote in these elections.

Over 4,400 voters have taken advantage of early voting opportunities. Registered voters can still vote early at the Election Board office located at 1 West Superior, during the following days and times:

Wednesday, November 2 – Friday, November 4, 2011 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Saturday, November 5, 2011 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Monday, November 7, 2011 8:00 AM – 12:00 Noon

Limited free parking is available on the west side of the building. Monday, October 31, was the last day to file a mailed absentee ballot application. The Board has mailed out 1,014 absentee ballots that are still outstanding and must be back in their office by noon on Election Day to be counted.

On Election Day, 688 poll workers and 365 voting machines will be at 106 polling locations throughout Allen County. The Board has planned for a 40% turnout, but expects a turnout between 36-38%. Voters can get a sample ballot at the Election Board’s website, www.acimap.us/aceb. At this website, voters can enter their name, address or precinct to retrieve information about their ballots, a map and photo of their voting locations, and other election related information.

[…] On Election night, the Election Board will release early results beginning at approximately 6:15 PM and will continue to update those results throughout the night until all polling locations have reported. Results can be found at our website. […] All election results from Election night will remain unofficial until provisional ballots are reviewed and counted by the Election Board.
