An update on the server move.
I think things are finally coming together. This really couldn’t have come at a worse time. I should be writing and posting daily updates regarding the election season, not worrying and trying to troubleshoot a server.
There are two people I want to thank – Judi Wire, Great Panes Glass Company on Wells Street and Mike Davis with Profician.
Great Panes helped to underwrite some of the expense of the new server. Mike has graciously helped me configure the server. I have to admit that in looking back, I really got myself in over my head. But he has and continues to work with me on resolving the issues of setting up a new server.
I think that even as difficult as the last three weeks have been, this will have a huge payoff in the long run. I know have complete and total control over the server and there are even some things I can do now that I couldn’t even think of before.
Today, I will be testing how the server handles a full day of posts on the blog. If you experience any issues, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Also, there will be some cosmetic changes to the appearance of the blog over the next few days as well.
