Grief, Hope, and Unity: Remembering the Narratives of 9/11 Is Focus of UC2 Program
Art Herbig and Aaron Hess, assistant professors of communication in Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne’s (IPFW) College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Communication, spent the week of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks on New York City around Ground Zero. They were there as part of their Living Text project, posting videos and photographs on Facebook and YouTube. They collected videotaped images and interviews of the people, places, and events surrounding the observance of the 10th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, and plan to turn the footage into a documentary film.
They will discuss their experiences in New York City in a UC2 presentation, Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m. in Neff Hall, Room 101. The presentation is free and open to the public. The Living Text media sites are:
