Registration Now Open for Fall Chicago Shopping Trip

(September 16, 2011) – Enjoy a fall getaway with friends and family in downtown Chicago without the hassle of driving or finding a place to park. Get on the bus and in a few short hours, shopping, museums, art galleries, the Chicago Humanities Festival, and more await you, Saturday, November 12.

The bus will drop off passengers at three stops: the Field Museum of Natural History; Macy’s on State Street in the Loop; and Water Tower Place Shopping Center on Michigan Avenue (near Saks Fifth Avenue, Filene’s Basement, and Crate & Barrel). The bus driver will designate a single pick-up point in Chicago the morning of the trip.

Schedule:

Depart from IPFW Parking Lot 12 (across from the tennis courts on Broyles Blvd. off St. Joe Rd.) at 7 a.m., Saturday, November 12.

Depart from Chicago at 6 p.m. (Indiana time), return to Fort Wayne at approximately 10 p.m.

One quick stop in Warsaw each way—for pick-up and drop-off—can be arranged as needed.

Cost:

$40 per passenger; includes both motor coach transportation and a $5 contribution to the scholarship fund of The Association of IPFW Women. Meals are on one’s own. One brief rest stop is planned each way.

Deadline:

Priority deadline for registration is Oct. 7, 2011. Space is limited to 55 passengers. Reservations accepted on a paid first-come, first-served basis.

Reservations and Cancellations:

Full payment must accompany the registration. Checks or money orders only; cash and credit cards are not accepted. For cancellations received by October 7, a refund will be made minus the $5 contribution to the scholarship fund of The Association of IPFW Women. NO refunds will be issued after October 7.
