Internet Fraud Investigation
Suspect Arrested in Sale of Gold Coins & Bars

Date of Arrest: Septemer 21, 2011
Arrested: Robinson, Cory M., age 31, Larwill IN
Charges: Theft, and Deception (4 Counts Each)

Please see the attached information reference an arrest made by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department in an internet fraud investigation wherein the victim was scammed out of several thousand dollars. The suspect was making available for purchase on the internet gold coins and gold bars. After being examined by a local jeweler, Bradley Gough Diamond, it was found that the coins and bars were not gold.

Investigators believe that there may be other victims of this scam, and are asking for any person who may have purchased coins or bars from a CraigsList post to contact the City of Fort Wayne Police Department’s Street Crimes Suppression Unit at 260 427-1201.
