Investigators Seek to Identify Suspect in Series of Store Robberies

Date/Time of Incident: September 20, 2011 / 2:08 a.m.
Location of Incident: 2802 E. State Blvd
Victim: CVS

Date/Time of Incident: September 20, 2011 / 5:31 a.m.
Location of Incident: 6202 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Victim: Walgreens

The Fort Wayne Police Department is presently investigating a series of armed robberies wherein the perpetrator is believed to be one and the same. The perpetrator reportedly entered the store(s) and approached the store clerk wielding what witnesses reported to be a ‘large knife’, or a ‘kitchen knife with a tan handle’. Witnesses further reported that the perpetrator demanded money from the store register and then fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Investigators have obtained still images from in-store video of the perpetrator in each incident and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the perpetrator.

Suspect Description:
Male black, 5’6″ – 5’10”, stocky build; seen wearing a grey-colored hooded sweatshirt with a black patch on both sleeves, a white colored baseball cap, blue jeans, and red colored gym shoes. The perpetrator is believed to have shed the sweatshirt and was last seen wearing only a white t-shirt, and a white bandana concealing his face.

Possible Suspect Vehicle:
Large pickup truck, blue in color, with tinted windows.
