Lt. Governor Skillman announces trade mission details
[…] Lt. Governor Skillman released the full itinerary and delegate list for her trade mission as well as an agriculture mission to China the State Department of Agriculture begins this weekend. The Japan trip involves visits to Indiana customers including Subaru, Sony, Toyota, and Aisin as well as a keynote address at the Midwest U.S.-Japan Association meeting.

Delegation to China travels from Indianapolis to ShanghaiMonday, September 19
Delegates will attend a US-China agricultural economy briefing and an Indiana Zhejian Agriculture Business Seminar. They will then participate in a Indiana-Zhejiang Sister City discussion with the Zhejiang Foreign Affairs Department. The day will close with a welcome dinner hosted by Zhejiang.Tuesday, September 20
Delegates will split and travel to smaller communities in Zhejiang that could be potential sister-cities with Indiana communities.Wednesday, September 21

Lt. Governor Skillman will travel to Kikkoman headquarters to meet with CEO Yuzaburo Mogi. The afternoon will be filled with other company meetings. The delegation will host a Friends of Indiana reception in the evening.Friday, September 23
The delegation will be shown landmarks in Tochigi Prefecture and meet with Governor Tomikazu Fukuda and Vice Governor Junichi Sato of Tochigi Prefecture. Lt. Governor Skillman will meet with Mayor Tatsuya Kochugi of Motegi to present an earthquake relief check from Speedway High School.Saturday, September 24
The delegation will visit Fuji Heavy Industry’s (Subaru) Factory and meet with several Subaru suppliers in Ota City.Sunday, September 25
Midwest US-Japan Association (MWJA) Conference welcome reception.Monday, September 26
The delegation will attend portions of the MWJA Conference. Lt. Governor Skillman will travel to Sony to visit with executives.Tuesday, September 27
Lt. Governor Skillman will deliver a keynote address at the MWJA closing ceremony. In the afternoon, the delegation will attend an agriculture association meeting and meet with executives from several Japanese commodity groups. The delegation will also meet with executives from several companies including Mitsubishi (Indiana Packers), Itochu, and Subaru.Wednesday, September 28
