News release from the Bonahoom for City Clerk campaign:

Governor Daniels Among Dozens Sponsoring Bonahoom Fundraiser
More than 60 business, community and government leaders supporting Clerk candidate

Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels is among dozens of business, community and government leaders sponsoring a fundraiser supporting Zach Bonahoom, Republican candidate for Fort Wayne City Clerk. The event takes place on Wednesday (Sept. 6, 2011) beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The event will take place at the home of Betty Sue and Bob Rowe, 9711 Covington Road, and last until 7 p.m.

“More than 60 people, including our Governor and some of Fort Wayne’s most recognizable names, are coming together to support me because we share a believe that our government can do more,” Bonahoom said. “That starts by transforming the City Clerk’s office into the true front door to government it should always have been.”

In addition to Governor Daniels, all three major candidates in this year’s Republican Mayoral primary, Paula Hughes, Liz Brown and Eric Doden, have signed on as sponsors of Wednesday’s event.

“No matter where one stood on the Mayor’s race, we all agree that 28 years is too long to wait for real, meaningful results from the City Clerk’s office,” Bohahoom added. “Our citizens and businesses alike stand to benefit greatly if we update the way this office does business and if we expect more for the dollars we invest in it.”

The invitation for Wednesday’s Bonahoom fundraiser, including the full list of sponsor names, is available online at . Media are welcome to attend the event at no cost.
