Mad Ants to tipoff fifth season on Friday, November 25th

(August 29, 2011) – The Fort Wayne Mad Ants will tip off the franchise’s fifth season in the NBA Development League on Friday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. EST when they host the Sioux Falls Skyforce at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

The Mad Ants-Skyforce contest is the first of 50 regular season games for the Mad Ants, 24 of which will take place at Memorial Coliseum. The schedule boasts 17 weekend games including 6 Fridays in November and December.

The NBA D-League Showcase will once again be played this season and take place in mid-January. An announcement with specific details on the event will be announced at a later date. In addition to the NBA D-League Showcase, the NBA D-League All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 25 in Orlando.

For the third consecutive year, the NBA D-League will feature two conferences, East and West. The Eastern Conference will consist of the expansion team in Canton , Dakota Wizards, Erie BayHawks, Fort Wayne Mad Ants, Iowa Energy, Maine Red Claws, Sioux Falls Skyforce and Springfield Armor, while the Western Conference includes the Austin Toros, Bakersfield Jam, Idaho Stampede, Los Angeles D-Fenders, Reno Bighorns, Rio Grande Valley Vipers, Texas Legends and Tulsa 66ers.

With season tickets starting at just $99, fans can join Head Coach Joey Meyer and the Mad Ants organization in their quest for a D-League Championship by purchasing season ticket packages for the 2012-2013 season by calling the Mad Ants’ office at (260) 469-4667.
