Statement of Mayor Tom Henry on Permitting Process Improvements and Fort Wayne City Council Action:
I am pleased that Councilman Pape showed leadership in moving to empower City Council to take an immediate vote on the permitting improvements next Tuesday. Our business community has told us their number one priority is streamlining our permitting process. They have asked us to get it done now. I urge City Council to listen to our business leaders and implement their suggestions. By enacting this plan, we can cut red tape and help businesses do what they do best: create good jobs for residents and strengthen our economy.
