Stutzman Issues Statement on Death of Osama Bin Laden

(Washington, D.C., May 2, 2011) – Congressman Marlin Stutzman (IN-03) issued the following statement regarding the death of Osama Bin Laden:

“Late last night the United States along with her allies removed an evil from the world. I congratulate the service members of the military, the intelligence community and US Navy SEALs who carried out the operation. A raid on Osama Bin Laden’s compound has ended with the death of the terrorist leader. The Al Qaeda commander of the first attack on the World Trade Center, the USS Cole, and the 9/11 attacks is now dead. This success shows the unwavering resolve of our Nation’s people and the American military. As the world closes this chapter of history we must also remind ourselves that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom”

Congressman Stutzman represents the 3rd Congressional District of Indiana and serves on the House Committee on Agriculture, the House Committee on the Budget and the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity.
