Volunteers Needed for Senior Games
(April 11, 2011) – Join in the excitement as a volunteer for the 34th Annual Senior Games! The Senior Games promote the benefits of remaining active and physically fit and encourage all adults over 50 to adopt a healthy, enjoyable lifestyle. Competition in over 20 physically and mentally challenging events provides the opportunity to test talent and skill, while enjoying good company and making new friends.
An hour-long informational meeting will be held at 10:30 am, April 19 at the Community Center, 233 W. Main Street. Anyone interested in helping to facilitate one or several of the various events held June 6 – June 21 should contact Chuck Reddinger prior to the April 19th meeting at 427-6465 or email chuck.reddinger@cityoffortwayne.org. Experience in any of the events is helpful, but not necessarily required. The majority of events take place during daytime hours.
