Area Colleges and Universities Collect Easter Baskets for SCAN

(April 5, 2011) – Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), Grace College, University of St. Francis, Indiana Wesleyan, Huntington University, Ivy Tech Community College Northeast, Manchester College, Trine University, and Indiana Tech are collaborating to collect 2,000 Easter baskets to be donated to the children of SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect). The project is sponsored by the Northeast Indiana Alumni Directors Consortium.

The Annual Easter Basket Drive runs from now until April 15. Wrapped Easter baskets filled with commercially wrapped items can be dropped off at any one of nine northeast Indiana colleges and universities. Baskets should be filled with store-bought, wrapped items and then the entire basket should be wrapped.

At IPFW, baskets can be dropped at the Information Desks in Kettler Hall and Walb Student Union. Baskets can also be dropped off at the Fort Wayne-area Chik-fil-A restaurants.
