Lutheran Health Plaza Expanding to Provide More Healthcare Options in New Haven

(March 8, 2011) – Lutheran Health Network announced today a 4,300 square-foot expansion of its medical facility in Lutheran Health Plaza located at 1302 Minnich Road in New Haven, Ind. The $500,000 investment in Phase II will incorporate two new suites, nine exam rooms and space for two physicians adjacent to the existing 9,007 square-foot facility that opened last August.

Women’s Health Advantage, one of the largest providers of women’s healthcare in the Midwest, has arranged for an obstetrician/gynecologist and a nurse practitioner to provide services in the new space beginning May 1.

“Having more medical services available and redeveloping commercial space in the New Haven area strengthens the community,” said Joe Dorko, CEO, Lutheran Health Network. “We are proud to join forces with Women’s Health Advantage and the city of New Haven to make patient care more convenient.”

The new offices will also provide immediate space for the expanding needs of physicians already practicing there. Physicians currently scheduling appointments at Lutheran Health Plaza include:

Strebig Construction has already begun the Phase II renovation, which is expected be complete April 22. Both Strebig Construction and developer Sperry Van Ness have been involved in each phase of the Lutheran Health Plaza project that now totals 13,000 square-feet.

St. Joseph Hospital also offers radiology services and blood draws for patients at the plaza.

Phase I of the $1.9 million medical facility included redeveloping a former Scott’s Foods store. At capacity, the medical facility employs the equivalent of 16 full-time employees.
