McMillen Ice Arena Public Input Meetings
March 8th and 24th, 6 pm(March 1, 2011) – The Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department will conduct public input meetings on March 8 and March 24 at 6 pm regarding future possible uses of McMillen Ice Arena. The meetings will be held at McMillen Ice Arena, 3901 Abbott Street. The purpose of the meetings is to gather ideas from residents to ensure the future facility meets the current and ongoing needs of the community. Those unable to attend the public meetings are encouraged to submit their ideas on the Parks & Recreation Facebook page: www.facebook.com/FortWayneParks.
Youth involved organizations were invited to send middle school and high school representatives to a similar public input meeting on February 28. Approximately 50 youth attended that meeting and submitted a wide variety of ideas.
