Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast’s Spring 2011 Special Cuisines Schedule Announced

The Special Cuisines class at Ivy Tech Community College-Northeast combines students’ skills and experience to plan, create, and execute menus from regions all over the world in the Special Cuisines dinner series. The class is comprised of culinary students who are rotated through various positions in the kitchen and dining room throughout the semester in order to solidify their knowledge of the foodservice industry prior to graduation.

“People from the community have come to expect authentic and unique cuisines when attending any of our Special Cuisines,” said Hospitality Administration Department Chair Jeff Bunting, CEC.

Dinners are scheduled on Thursday evenings through the spring semester.

[li]March 24 – À la carte with Japanese specials[/li]
[li]March 31 – À la carte with German specials[/li]
[li]April 14 – Tapas-style Dinner[/li]

Dinners are open to the public. Cost is $20 per person, and reservations are taken for times between 5 and 6:30 p.m. on the evening of each dinner. Call the Special Cuisines line at 260-480-2002 to make a reservation.
