Zumbathon to support FWCS’ Study Connection

(February 8, 2011) – Thirteen Zumba instructors will lead participants for two hours of dancing, sweating and lots of fun in support of Fort Wayne Community Schools’ Study Connection on Saturday, March 12.

Zumba is the latest exercise craze, combining Latin dancing with a cardiovascular workout. From 1-3 p.m. at North Side High School, the instructors will lead the participants, with each instructor introducing their own flair to the exercise. From noon-1 p.m., participants can register and visit vendor booths to sign up for prizes.

Registration can be done online at www.signmeup.com/site/online-event-registration/74127/SMUCalendar. The cost to participate in the fundraiser is $20 with a T-shirt and $15 without a T-shirt.

Proceeds benefit Study Connection, Fort Wayne Community Schools’ after-school tutoring program partnering students with employees at businesses and organizations throughout the community. To learn more, visit www.studyconnection.org.
