Press release from the Eric Doden for Mayor campaign:

Eric Doden official statement regarding Tom Henry announcement

“Let me be the first to welcome Tom Henry to this race. Over the past four years, Mayor Henry has enjoyed some successes, but like so many in our community, I believe our city needs a leader who can create and attract more and better jobs and help Fort Wayne realize its full potential more quickly and more effectively.

“This requires a leader with a different type of experience, background and skill set. Not a career politician, but one who’s succeeded in the world of business and developed a true understanding of a global economy and how Fort Wayne can not only survive, but thrive, in it.

“Mayor Henry’s announcement today does not change my focus and mission, which is to continue to speak with as many Fort Wayne residents as possible between now and the primary. These conversations give me the chance to share with them my plan for job creation and vision for a better, more dynamic future for our city; it also lets me listen to their concerns and hopes for Fort Wayne.”
