Indian Village Historic Home and Garden Tour

(January 3, 2011) – Fort Wayne’s organization for historic preservation– announces that its annual Home and Garden Tour will be held in historic Indian Village Neighborhood, in Fort Wayne, Indiana on Saturday, June 25th from 11:00am until 5:00pm (EDT). This annual event features historic homes and neighborhoods throughout the city. The Indian Village Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and features exceptional homes in the Colonial Revival, Eclectic Revivals, and Contemporary and Ranch designs in a wooded setting near Foster Park.

The Indian Village Home and Garden Tour will feature almost a dozen houses and gardens, ranging from charming revival homes to exquisite atomic-age midcentury wonders. Free public presentations about period architecture and style and other activities are planned as well.

The Indian Village Historic Home and Garden Tour is part of ARCH’s 2011 Community Education Program, sponsored in part by the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and Lincoln Financial Group Foundation.
