The 73rd annual Polar Bear Plunge happens this Saturday, January 1, 2011.
The location is the boat launch ramp in Johnny Appleseed Park and the start time is noon. Â If you’re going, I would suggest arriving between 11:15 and 11:30. Â Yes, you’ll have to wait, but the parking situation can get a bit rough. Â Besides, there’s always some colorful characters to watch, which makes the time pass much easier. Â Also, with warm temperatures – well warm for this time of year anyway – it could be a record turn out!
