The Alpha Course comes to Saint Alban’s

(December 23, 2010) – Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church will offer a ten-week introductory course to the Christian faith, open to all members of the public. The Alpha Course will begin at 6 p.m. January 16 at the church, located at 7308 Saint Joe Road, Fort Wayne.

This practical course on the Christian faith offers answers to some key questions. Each weekly session begins with an informal dinner, followed by a large-group learning time, and ends with small-group discussion and interaction. Classes will be held every Sunday from Jan. 16 to April 10, except for March 6.

Alpha began in London and is now held in thousands of churches around the world, helping individuals to find answers to questions about life, God, and how they relate. To learn more about the course, the public is invited to attend the first session at 6 p.m., Jan 16 at the church. For reservations, call the church at 260-485-8022 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. weekdays.

Saint Alban’s will hold a 9 a.m. worship service on Saturday, Jan. 1, for the Feast of the Holy Name. Worship service for the Feast of the Epiphany will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6. Men’s group breakfast is at 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8 at Golden Corral on Lima Road. Friends in Faith Bible Study meets every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., and a Holy Eucharist service is held at noon each Wednesday. The church regularly meets for worship at 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. Sundays.
