On November 18, 2010, a celebration was held to celebrate the completion of exterior work on the Allen County Courthouse.
We missed the ceremony, but spoke afterwards with Allen County Commissioner Linda Bloom and Robyn Zimmerman, Executive Director of the Courthouse Preservation Trust about the Courthouse.

From the Allen County Government website:
“This project was far more than just cleaning the outside of the building,” said County Commissioner Linda Bloom. “The primary focus – the tuck-pointing, joint rehabilitation and waterproofing from the base of the building all the way to the top of ‘Lady Liberty’ – was designed to protect the structural integrity of the Courthouse so that its magnificent features will be with us for decades to come.”
