.DEEP LOW PRESSURE CENTERED OVER THE ARROWHEAD OF MINNESOTA THIS MORNING WILL DRIFT SLOWLY NORTH AND EAST THROUGH TONIGHT. WHILE WIND SPEEDS HAVE SUBSIDED ACROSS THE AREA…SUNSHINE TODAY WILL ALLOW FOR A QUICK RETURN TO THE VERY GUSTY CONDITIONS AND POSSIBLY LOCALLY DAMAGING WINDS. SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH CAN BE EXPECTED…ESPECIALLY FROM LATE MORNING INTO LATE AFTERNOON. ISOLATED WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE. WINDS WILL DIMINISH THIS EVENING…BUT MAY ONLY DROP INTO ADVISORY CRITERIA…REQUIRING AND EXTENSION OF ANY HEADLINES.

* TIMING…STRONG WINDS WILL REDEVELOP AFTER SUNRISE AND CONTINUE INTO EARLY EVENING.

* WINDS…SUSTAINED WINDS OF 25 TO 35 MPH WILL RETURN LATE WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH POTENTIALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 60 MPH THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS.

* IMPACTS…HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES WILL HAVE DIFFICULTY TRAVELING. IN ADDITION…WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO TREES AND POWER LINES…CAUSING POTENTIAL POWER OUTAGES.

A HIGH WIND WARNING MEANS A HAZARDOUS HIGH WIND EVENT IS EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SUSTAINED WIND SPEEDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH OR GUSTS OF 58 MPH OR MORE CAN LEAD TO PROPERTY DAMAGE.
